...and Aerion Hat was born!

This colorful slouched hat is knitted in the round with some of the same charts as the larger Aerion Coat pattern. A patterned facing is turned to the inside using a purl round to aid the folding. The main patterns are worked without shaping until the crown.  All of the decreases appear in this top section creating a relaxed slouch shape.

Finished size:

21.5 in. (52 cm) around base, 11.5 in. (32 cm) bottom to top. (Note: Use larger needles for larger size.)

Gauge:

28  sts/33 rnds = 4 in. (10.16 cm)

Materials:  

Yarn – Elemental Affects – Shetland, 100% American Shetland, large skein - 118 yd/28g (1 oz), mini skein— 28 yd/7g.

Shade A - Black - 1 large skein, 1mini skein

Shade B - Teal - 1 mini skein

Shade C - Agave  - 1 mini skein

Shade D -  Ocean Wave - 1 mini skein

Shade E - Sea Foam - 1 mini skein

Shade F - Lime Juice - 1 mini skein

Shade G - Sandalwood - 1 mini skein

Shade H – Dusty Red - 1 mini skein

Shade I - Scarlet - 1 mini skein

Needles - US 3 ( 3.25 mm) and US 4 (3.5 mm)  needles for preferred method of working small circumferences (i.e. 2 circulars, Magic Loop, or double pointed needles).

Stitch markers, Locking stitch markers (6),Tapestry needle, Small Scissors
